Salute the Colonel

Start off the ground or on the upper ledge system of Petri (belay bolt available).  From the ground, surmount the easy, stepped ledges past two bolts onto the upper slab.  Skip the belay bolt if leading from the ground and continue up onto the main headwall.  Climb through the most featured section vertical of rock below the dull Arete to reach the headwall.  Pull onto the steeper upper section and climb the remaining arete.  As you near the top, trend left of the edge to finish on at the anchor on the left face.  When lowering you will end up on the left side of the trees a bit away from your partner.  

Continue left below the Ketosis Bulge on Buda Belly to a series of stepped ledges 4-5' in height.  COL goes up just right of the medium sized oak tree.
