Vertical Tooth Fracture
Description
Maybe the first and only trad route at Med Wall! Probably more of a boulder problem. That being said, be very careful placing pro in limestone, placements can/may be weak. No bolts, no anchor on this one. Climb the corner to the top, can wrap a tree or large boulder for top rope anchor or walk off.
Location
Far left side of med wall, near the approach trail that goes to the top. I normally go to Buda Belly, then take the lower trail in all the tall grass left, then you will see a little slab/rock scramble (the blue "approach" line in Matt's petri dish topos). This will take you to a ledge. Head hard left either up more rock scrambling to next ledge or through some cedar trees and one will find the crack.
Protection
no bolts, no anchor, can use natural anchor with a few trees or tie off a top boulder. Takes .75-2’s
