Black Rock

Black Rock is an exposed ledge on the edge of the Squannacook River in Townsend. It has some solid rock, but it definitely has some sandy holds and flaky stuff that just gives it character. It's a great place to climb, and there is a lot to play around with on there. A group of friends and I have tried to keep other climbers away, because it is a almost backyard boulder spot, but we are unsure of the grades and would like friendly climber traffic if anyone in the area is actually interested in it....
