Coconut Traverse

Description

Stand/squat start on good slopers at the lip of the boulder. Utilizing a large foot ledge traverse right through the lip of the boulder using good slopers and positive crimps. Once at the last good hold before the right arete, reach back past the lip with the left for a good sidepull, work your feet up and rock over the lip. 

Location

Left side of the New Beach wall, directly to the left of Governors Ball. Clearly visible as you break off the approach trail to the boulder. 

Protection

1-2 pads, it traverses past a tree but is low to the ground
