Cohiba Crack

Face start leads up to finger crack that gradually widens to a last bit of hands at very top. Soft sandstone, i.e., over-protect accordingly, and beware of flexing face holds.

Drive up Corral Canyon off of PCH all the way to the top, and park in the large dirt lot next to the trail.  Cohiba Crack is on the south face of the Castro Mesa Buttress, located near the junction of the Castro and Mesa Peak Fire Roads, visible not far off of the rocky trail. Pro to 2.5", gear anchor. Descend by going around the backside of the summit block and downclimbing the 5.easy rippled slab off of the shoulder of the prominent buttress to climber's right.
