Smear Campaign

This is a fun route that has it all. It starts off with the same start as

The Steeple

, but at the first bolt, keep traversing right on the hand traverse instead of going straight up. From here, it starts getting exponentially harder culminating at a very tricky boulder problem right before the transition into some powerful laybacking with bad feet. Get a rest, and then don't blow it on the 13- techy headwall. A 70m rope is required to lower from the anchor.

Do the same start as the first 5.12 pitch of

The Steeple.

A double set #1-3 BD,

1 x 0.3-0.75 BD,

Small- medium offset nuts,

1 x green and red C3,

6 draws,

6 long slings, and a

#4 is optional (you may want for the 1st time up).
