The Party’s Over

This route climbs the beautiful crack that ascends up the dihedral on the east side of the tower. The crack climbs all the way to the summit of the tower.  Throughout the pitch you climb everything from fingers to chimney.

We found a very faded plaque at the base with “The Party’s Over 5.11” on it.  We felt like the pitch was a bit harder than that but maybe we were tired.

The anchor is less than ideal. It consists of a good bolt that is backed up with an old piece of rope with a jammed knot in a crack.

It’s possible but not easy to rappel this tower with a single 70m rope if you rap to the notch of ‘Hartworm Tower’. Then one more rap to the east will get you to the ground.

This tower is located on the SW side of the point that is just north of the confluence. This tower is 30’ west of Hartworm Tower.
