Description
Northeast face of Crooked Finger Tower. Good-quality alpine rock, with good protection. Fun and interesting route in a beautiful alpine basin. Two pitches (P1 = 110 feet, P2 = 90 feet). One double-rope rappel from a bolted anchor in the notch just below the split summits (160 feet).Himalayan Snowcock is a large ptarmigan native to the mountains of Asia. It was introduced and is established in North America only in the high country of the Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range of northeastern Nevada. It has a “serenade” very similar to the whistling call of an elk and likes to perch on rock towers and pinnacles.
