Description

This is on Tanner Dome. It consists of one pitch of steep, well-featured, face climbing. Although it's supposed to be easier, I thought this route was harder than the two 5.9 routes in the trees (

Amp Left

and

Amp Right

). The crux is in the middle of the route where it is steep and it requires good foot work, without much for hands in a couple of places. It is a fun route.

Location

I highly recommend Stewart Green's "Rock Climbing Colorado, 2nd edition" guidebook for a great description of the routes in the Tanner Dome area and throughout Colorado!

On Tanner Dome, this is the second route from the left on top of the boulders -- sandwiched between "

Rightist

" to the left and "

Zing

" just to the right.

Protection

This is a sport climb -- it takes about 10 quickdraws to a two-bolt anchor.
