MapSide-Step
Description
Side-Step is certainly an easy, warm-up boulder problem. Starting on the far left side of the boulder, there is a large sideways pinch about 6ft off the ground, on the corner of the boulder. From here the route goes to the right and ends at the mossy side of the boulder. There are plenty of crimps and side pulls to help keep you on and a bottom shelf for your feet. I find that this problem is really good for working out your arms.
Location
From the parking area, it is on the bottom of a large rock on the right side of Thunder Rocks. It also shares the same boulder as Split Lip which is up and to the left.
Protection
No protection needed. Not even a crash pad because the route is only one foot off the ground.
