Description

Fun climbing up  jet black patina'ed rock face. The patina is broken down low giving a somewhat interesting, but secure start. As you climb, the patina shows less sign of weathering. Near the top the holds turn to sidepulls and give you a little puzzle near the top. Easily one of the more fun, but tall moderates in the canyon, and with a shorter than usual paddle-approach

Location

Right side of the canyon paddling up the canyon from the boat-launch. Just past a large diving board like feature on the right that many visitors will use for cliff jumping. On the left of the canyon you'll pass a small area where you could set up camp for the day, hard to see the patina'ed face until you're at it or past it.

Protection

DWS S0 : Deep water well below the fall zone almost always.
