Backside Roof

Description

About 5.5 up most of the steep corner that leads up to the small roof. Getting over the roof is 5.7 or so. Avoid using the rusty pipe for anchoring. Walk off via same descent trail down to the beach.

Location

This is on the backside that actually faces south.  Just a few steps around the corner to the right of the SW side with the Oceanside routes that face the ocean.  This backside faces the small beach area behind the main cliff. Rock seemed fairly solid, but sure, possible choss, so easy on the pulls. Done only because the easy Face routes were swarmed by high tide. Seriously, water swept all the way up that side of the beach. It happens.

This is the prominent corner system just to the left of the start for Rhein-Dance.

Protection

Long slings for TR anchor, plus optional stopper.
