Eddy out

Description

Not actually on the dam wall at all, but there is only one route at this crag. If you have rafted to the dam buttress and want to do one more route, follow the river down another six miles or so, past the dam, piece of cake and the narrows rapids. This climb is on a buttress in the middle of the narrows rapid on the river right. Eddy out just above the confluence of the warm springs creek , the climb is on the right side of crag, the obvious twin crack with as slight bulge, it faces upstream. Climb the crack, gear anchor on top, scramble off the back and down a gully on the upstream end. There is a very hard arête on the left side which I cleaned and tried to,top rope but found it too hard so it might make a good project for someone.

Location

Hike off back side.

Protection

Trad gear in the medium to large sizes. Trad anchor on top uses big cams.
