Asteroid Belt

One of the very best boulder problems in the Santa Monica mountains, this gem is going to delight or torment you. Follow a band of pockets and knobs up to a sloping topout that feels taller than it really is. Awesome movement on amazing stone with slick, polished footholds.  This one will stay in your mind long after you do it. The landing area varies from nice sand & gravel, to a pool of swampy water, from year to year.

Located on a separate formation about 70 yards downstream from Whirlpool area on the opposite side of the creek. It faces the far side of the stream eastward.
