Description

This aspect of the boulder offers nice rock and varied movement, starting with powerful pulls on edges to a committing rock-over, followed by a few thin slab moves that keep your attention all the way to the top.

If you're by yourself with just one pad, the landing is fairly reasonable, unlike the V8 to the left.

Begin with your hands matched on the obvious, incut edge on the arete, a few feet right of the start for the

345 Sit

. Move straight up along the right edge of the arete for a few moves until it feels natural to transition onto the slab. A harder variation looks possible, staying on the arete all the way to the top, but it looks desperate and dirty, and the landing below is ugly.

Location

Start near the right edge of the arete next to

345 Sit

.

Protection

At least one pad.
