Super Gratton

Description

Start matched on a thin, incut, vertical seam at or above chest height on the right side of the face before the large, vertical crack that cuts up the tallest portion of the boulder. Move left through a higher and larger vertical crack and to the arete. Top out following the arete until some great jugs for hands and foot holds make rolling onto the slab trivial.

The rock is amazing, and the feet are just tricky enough to make this worthwhile. This is a beautiful problem, albeit fairly short, and it was named for testing out a pair of 70s EB Super Grattons on the climb.

I would be quite surprised if someone had not done this before me. Please update the FA/name/

etc

. as needed!

Location

It is on the North face of the Seamly Boulder and is characterized by the beautiful vertical seams all over the face.

Protection

A pad or two.
