The Wasteland

This is the easiest route on the Sumo Wall. The crux is getting off the ground on a steep slab with some slopey holds. After the first bolt the climbing eases up to about 5.6 for the rest of the route following sharp pockets and runnels.

This route is the furthest route one the right of the nice flat belay area before the ground starts sloping upward. The route is between Nipple Extractor (5.11a) on the left and Falling Asians (5.10b) on the right. Keep right at the third bolt as the route that branches off to the left is New Age Malarkey (5.10c).
