Start on the obvious flake, and work your way straight up on razorblades, smearing with your feet. Reach for the flake at the top, and smear your way up to top out.

A pad, although it would likely not be useful, since the mandatory cheesegrater in the event of a fall will slow you down. This is the reason for the PG-13 rating.
