Critter Crawl

Description

Crux is where the tree is at, so it's kinda sketch the first couple tries. Definitely one of the longest boulder problems in Austin

Location

This is a longer version of the original V2 traverse that starts on the obvious rail slanting upwards from left to right. Instead of starting on the rail, start as far left as you can go. You should be sit-starting on the stairs. Once you traverse right and get to the point of the original start, you climb downwards to meet the original start and continue the traverse until you get to the arete. Climb the arete and you're finished. Climb down is obvious.

Protection

Crux is at the tree, if you pop off the wall... you'll hit it with the back of your head. Also, next to the tree, left and right side, the roots are kinda gnarly. An awkward fall on those would easily twist an ankle. However, during the traverse you're never more than 2 feet off the ground, so you could just step down more than likely.
