The Hive Splitter

This could possibly be the best crack on Mt. Elden. A beautiful, winding, and smooth spillter though ultra compact rock will make you swear you’re climbing on pure granite.

A short finger crack leads to a small ledge. Follow the ever widening splitter to the top of the cliff and a a pair of rap hangers on the left side.

There is also a dihedral to the left that can also be climbed to the same anchor. Gear and grade unknown. If anyone has any info on who put these up please let me know!

The obvious, beautiful splitter on the left side of The Hive.

Cams. Minimum Rack (in Camalots): a single .4, doubles from #2-3 and a #4. Quickdraws for the anchor. A #1 could be placed off the midway ledge and extended to reduce drag. A third #3 could be placed at the top in lieu of the more specific #4 placement.
