Description

The Falcon Spires Highline goes across the Eagle's Peak trail from the top of the first pitch of Falcon Spires to the other side of the canyon. The line is approximately 200 feet long and 100 feet off the ground at the highest point. 175 feet of it is walkable if avoiding no-fall terrain.

The line offers great views of USAFA and is partially visible from the trail below.

Location

The South anchor point is on top of the first pitch of Falcon Spires (GPS coordinates of 39.00456, -104.91316). You can reach this anchor by climbing the first pitch or by scrambling up the slope East of Falcon Spires. A tagline can be thrown across the canyon to the rock field from this anchor.

The North anchor point is on a rock towards the top of the rock field (GPS coordinates of 39.00512, -104.91337). Scrambling to this anchor from the trail is relatively easy.

Protection

Three bolts at each anchor point but no quicklinks.
