I Can't Believe It's Not Better

After a recon trip to Esoterica, we wanted to save time and scramble back to the rim. It turned out not to be the case....

P1. Start up a slot with mid-5th Class cracks. Go past a small tower on your right to the base of a gnarly chimney. This is a pretty good pitch.

P2. Go up an awesome chimney/OW. It's pretty wild up there and super adventury. This is an excellent pitch.

You are on a beautiful terrace with the hopes of an easy scramble out. Dreams are crushed here.

P3.  Climb up and left across super sandy slabs with really no gear to speak of. Eventually you get into the next layer up and can scramble out from there. This is a serious and low percentage pitch.

It is just down canyon 100 yards or so from Esoterica Tower.
